The 322RC2 Horizontal Grip Action Ballhead from Manfrotto combines the versatility of a ball head with true ergonomic control. This unique design allows you to unblock, move, position, and lock your camera with a single hand in one position, thanks to the revolutionary grip handle that incorporates the ball lock lever.

A friction control wheel enables you to regulate the power of the blocking mechanism to match the weight of your camera and lens. Crafted from lightweight magnesium, the 322RC2 is designed to keep your camera's weight as close as possible to the tripod's center of gravity, due to its reduced height. This, combined with the head's precision construction, gives it a remarkable load capacity of 11 pounds (5.5 pounds in the vertical position).

The 322RC2 comes equipped with a built-in bubble spirit level and a quick release camera plate (with a standard 1/4-20-inch screw and a secondary safety pin). It's suitable for use with 35mm or medium format cameras, and you can also mount the 322RS shutter release accessory – a world's first, allowing you to control the camera's shutter release without moving your hand from the head grip.

Sturdy all-metal construction for durability. The compact, rectangular 200PL quick release plate system fits neatly under small-bodied cameras, from DSLRs to medium format, as well as small video cameras or spotting scopes. The rubber pad provides a secure grip without damaging the camera, and the angled sides ensure a tight fit in a wide range of Manfrotto heads.

A secondary security lock prevents accidental release of the camera plate, while the single locking mechanism blocks or frees movement on all axes for greater speed of use. The separate control for pre-setting the ball friction allows you to fine-tune the movement to match your equipment.

By keeping the head and camera mounting plate as low as possible, the camera is kept closer to the tripod's center of gravity for more stable support. The repositionable camera plate also allows for right- or left-handed use, giving you greater control over panning and tracking shots.

The 322RC2 is designed for use with the 322RS electronic or 322RSM manual shutter release cables and mounts – the first accessories that let you control head positioning and shutter release simultaneously with the same hand, without needing to let go of the head grip.
